At our most recent committee meeting the decision was made to go ahead with the festival, we are still short of funds and will welcome any further sponsorship/donations.
2011 will see the third annual Penkhull Jazz and Blues Festival.
The success of the first two events has given those of us on the organising committee the belief that this Festival can become a regular mainstay of the programme of community events.
This year, due to the government cuts, the fesitval is self financing. So, getting on board with the "big community" idea, we need help from local businesses to raise the money required to put the event on, such as stage hire, PA, Insurance etc.

This year all money raised on the day will go to Caudwell Children, a local Stoke-on-Trent charity.

Penkhull is an active village within the city of Stoke-on-Trent,
in Staffordshire. Events of many kinds are organised by
the community for the community of Penkhull and the wider
city. 2010 sees the centenary of the federation of the six
constituent towns later to become the city of Stoke-on-Trent.
Penkhull pre dates this event by over 800years, being
mentioned in the Domesday book of 1086.

Funding for the 2011 festival is needed from the local community to help us to put on the event: due to the recession and funding cuts we are more reliant than ever on sponsorship from individuals and local companies – we are on the verge of generating the income we need. However small a donation, we appreciate all the support you can give the festival. Please email us.
