2011 will see the third annual Penkhull Jazz and Blues Festival. The success of the first two events has given those of us on the organising committee the belief that this Festival can become a regular mainstay of the programme of community events. The charity for 2010 was the ‘Heart of Penkhull Appeal’, raising money for improvement of the parish church. When a decision has been made for the 2011 event we will publish the charity here.

Penkhull is an active village within the city of Stoke-on-Trent, in Staffordshire. Events of many kinds are organised by the community for the community of Penkhull and the wider city. 2010 sees the centenary of the federation of the six constituent towns later to become the city of Stoke-on-Trent.

Penkhull pre dates this event by over 800years, being mentioned in the Domesday book of 1086.
